The Knife Angel is in Edinburgh to raise awareness of the dangers of carrying knives and the violence associated with them.
The wings of the sculpture hold messages of love and remembrance.
We hope that you will choose to leave your own message of support and love for the victims, and hope for creating a safer Edinburgh.

I pray that the knife Angel will sent a strong message to our communities . My sincere prayers and thoughts to all affected by knife crime and hope God will touch the hearts of those who carry knives with intention to harm others to be able to know God loves everyone and would like us all to live in peace, love , unity and respect towards one another.

In loving memory of Jack Hague & Barry Gilgun. Their lives were taken in a moment, but their loss is carried for a lifetime. To all who are left carrying this heartache, may we always be surrounded by love & hope for a better, safer future in our communities. Forever missed & loved.
A lad in our street called John mcnabb was tragically stabbed and murdered. I never knew him or the details but I knew and I still know the impact it has had on our community. Fly high John and your mum should be so proud of herself for fighting back against these horrible crimes and putting things in place that I thought nobody would do. Thank you

Knives are tools and don鈥檛 kill on its own. Let this knife angel educate people how to use these tools for work and not for killing.
This is very sad...But a very ponient sculpture...A waste of life..We should all reflect on this... Life is very precious.
I never personally knew John McNab, however learning about his passing and how much he was loved has really opened my eyes about knife crimes. I was passing on Wednesday 2nd September 2026 at around 6:30pm and I happened to see the incredible turnout that John had to remember him one year after his passing.
The Knife angel really has made an everlasting impact and I hope it continues to do so.
