Improving Charlotte Square

Phase 2 engagement summary

For phase 2 of the project, we carried out a further round of engagement and consultation with businesses, residents and other stakeholders in June 2024. This involved sharing two design concepts to capture feedback that would inform further design.

We engaged in the following ways

  • Online stakeholder briefing on 3 June 2024
  • Drop-in session on Wednesday 5 June 2024.
  • Online residents and businesses drop-in session on Thursday 6 June.

In summary, we had positive feedback on the ideas and intentions presented, most notably around the levelling of the Square to help remove the current camber and provide a consistent level, making Charlotte Square safer and more accessible for everyone.
